Sanjay Dutt produced ÂRascals not inspired by Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

A close hand from the unit of ÂRascals on condition of anonymity had had denied that Rupali Aum Entertainment and Sanjay Dutt ProductionÂs next Rascals, which is directed by David Dhawan, has been inspired by Hollywood film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
The Hollywood flick starred Steve Martin and Michael Caine, who play two thugs in the movie and make an attempt to work together, which fails miserably.
However, a spokesperson from DhawanÂs camp has rubbished the rumors but confirmed that the film is about two thugs, played by Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt.
ÂYes, the film is based on two con men but the story is our own brainchild. It has no relevance to the Hollywood film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels that it is being compared with and it is baseless to relate the two movies. This is not the first time that a movie is based on two thieves, the source close to the film clarified.
